I am an advocate practicing criminal law for the last 6 years. I represent survivors of human trafficking before the High Court at Calcutta, different district courts of West Bengal and have been instrumental in the conviction of a number of traffickers in West Bengal. I have led innumerable trainings for police, prosecutors, judges and community members. I often conduct training for police officers at the West Bengal State Police Academy. My expertise is on leading sessions on Human Trafficking, Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, and Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act. I have also organised a Judicial Colloquium in collaboration with West Bengal State Legal Services Authority. Further, I have also organised a multi stakeholder symposium to bridge gaps against human trafficking in West Bengal. I was awarded B.A. LL.B (Hons) from a premier law school, The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences. I have often visited the Tamil Nadu Police Academy to deliver sessions on Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act. I also visited the Tamil Nadu Judicial Academy, Madurai in 2018 to deliver a session on human trafficking. Currently I am a senior legal consultant to an organization that works to combat human trafficking and in charge of leading the training for judiciary in West Bengal.
